Four US cities - PHILADELPHIA

Philadelphia or sometimes only "Philly" was second stop on our journey. We flew there from Chicago.

This is a neoclassical 30th St Amrack Station where the train brings you right from the airport.

Philly downtown. The old historical monuments are mixing with new designes and architecture.

The 1,8 mile Benjamin Franklin Bridge when completed in 1926, was the world largest suspension bridge and it goes over the Delaware river.

An add for controversial Human Body Exibition in Franklin Institute Science Museum. It displays over 200 humen species, shows their anatomy...It is actually on the edge between scientific and artistic view on man´s body.

The exibition was one of the strongest experience of the whole trip and I can tell you, I had quite scary dreams for some time on :) But I am really glad I went there.

Residential neighborhood of Society Hill which is dominateb by architecture from 18th and 19th centuries.

It is a peaceful place with lots of lovely buildings and a clean streets.

This is a old Philadelphia Stock Exchange.

First Philadelphia Bank.

The Betsy Ross House, where this lady sew the first US flag, we believe. Look at the flag on the right side properly, it is slightly different from the present one.

Grave of Betsy Ross.

Independence Hall House, where the delegates from 13 colonies approved the Declaration of Independence.

The actual Independence Hall.

The Liberty Bell is another attraction Philadelphia is proud of. It is a symbol of freedom and it is actually cracked on one side (useless :]]] )

The Massonic Temple.

Love u!!!!

Philadelphia Museum of Art is said to be one of the best and most important in the whole US.

View on downtown of Philly from the Art Museum.

This is a funny one. Because of the flick Rocky (with Sylvester Stallone) was shot here -
the buddy was running up and down like crazy, hundreds of people are copying him every day.

They are running....

...until they fall off.

This site visited Philadelphia future tourists.

Pictures presented here were taken by Marketa Veberova, me and Pavel Czech!
